Who we are
Applied Behavior Partners was founded with a simple belief: meaningful progress begins with thoughtful collaboration.
We provide individualized, evidence-based behavioral services to help children build communication, independence, emotional regulation, and confidence in everyday life. Our work is grounded in applied behavior analysis and guided by compassion, professionalism, and respect for each family’s unique journey.
At ABP, we believe therapy should feel supportive — not overwhelming. We take the time to listen, understand your priorities, and create plans that reflect what truly matters to your child and your family.
Our Philosophy
Behavior is communication. When we understand the context behind behavior, we can create meaningful change.
Our approach is:
Individualized — Every plan is carefully designed around your child’s strengths and needs.
Collaborative — Families are partners in every step of care.
Evidence-Based — Decisions are guided by research and ongoing data review.
Practical — Strategies are designed to work in real life, not just in sessions.
We prioritize progress that is functional, sustainable, and aligned across home, school, and community environments.
Our Commitment
We are committed to ethical, high-quality care delivered with professionalism and integrity. Services are BCBA-led, developmentally appropriate, and centered on measurable growth.
Our goal is not simply to reduce challenging behaviors — but to help children build the skills that allow them to participate more fully and confidently in their world.
About the Founder
Jourdan Sexton, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Jourdan Sexton is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Texas, New Jersey, and Georgia. She holds a Master of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Behavioral Health at Arizona State University, where her academic work focuses on integrated care models and the implementation of evidence-based interventions.
Her doctoral training has deepened her commitment to bridging research and real-life care. She believes evidence should feel practical and meaningful — not distant or overly clinical. By taking a collaborative, big-picture approach, she designs treatment plans that are not only grounded in research but thoughtfully aligned with the places children live, learn, and grow each day — at home, in school, and within their broader support systems.
Jourdan has experience in clinical leadership, program development, and behavior intervention across a range of settings. Her areas of professional focus include communication development, caregiver collaboration, functional behavior assessment, and structured skill acquisition programming.
She founded Applied Behavior Partners to create a practice model that prioritizes:
Careful clinical oversight
Individualized treatment planning
Meaningful family collaboration
Ethical, high-quality service delivery
Her approach blends scientific rigor with warmth and professionalism — ensuring families feel both supported and confident throughout the process.
